I Am Light

You are the light of the world--like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. Matt. 5:14.

I have always loved lighthouse; something about the quietness of the tower seems to calm my spirit. However, the light allows other my see their way. We are to shine so that others will see a pathway to Jesus. The bible is very clear it says you are like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden, so beloved why try you are going to shine!

I Am Fearless

"I Am Fearless" is my next day of Affirmations. Out of all the affirmations being fearful is the one I have to repeat to myself again and again. The reason is fear always wants to take center stage, and that belongs to faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please our heavenly Father. Fear and faith cannot coexist with one another. One has to take center stage, and I choose faith. I choose to trust in Jesus and lean not to my own understanding.

I am what I believe, and I only believe and put my trust in a Holy God. So I am fearless because my faith is in Jesus Christ the Lord of my life.

It's About Choices - Choose Joy!

We have to choose joy.
We hear those saying, “don’t let no one steal your joy” and the scripture that says "joy comes in the morning." This lets me know that you can lose your joy, now peace is something totally different. God gives us His peace, but we have to choose to have joy. So, here are 7 choices to help you keep your joy, and if you do that, then no one can steal it from you. Why? Because you made up in your mind, you will not to let them.

A Present Help
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1
This morning is the Homegoing service of a sister in Christ, Banita Reeves. As I think about preparing for the service my heart is heavy, and the Holy Spirit reminds me of Psalm 46:1; ““God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” He has made provision and shelter for us and when we are weak.  He is strong.   I am so thankful that He allowed me the opportunity to see and talk with her the day before he called her home.   It was not a surprise to Him; I remember looking at her and noticing how her skin had a glow, really had a glow. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to tell her I loved her again.   We were not really close friends.   We were connected because of the praise team and her illness and me praying.   I wonder why I had the opportunity to see her, was it to allow me to see the glow of His presence all over her.   On the other hand, was it just to say one more time I loved you. Nothing happens by chance in the life of a believer for he said He orders the steps, her steps, my steps and your steps.   So, in the mist of your/my storm, he is a very present help.   I search the word "very" to understand why was it put before present, and it means; used to emphasize that something belongs to or is part of a particular person or thing; true; precise. The word presents mean currently or now.   Jesus is a true and right now God, and it is part of who he is.   He’s right there, right now when your heart is heavy, when you are in your storm, when you have lost your mother, daughter, sister, and a friend whatever that trouble may be.   He is a VERY PRESENT help!

Show yourself Mighty, Show yourself strong!

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.”
2 Chronicles 16:9 KJV
There is a song that we sing at church and the verses of this song shines bright in my day.
“Show yourself mighty, show yourself strong!
Show yourself Awesome
In the mist of my storm
For in the time of trouble
You will give me a song
Show yourself Mighty
Show yourself Strong!

I know that my Lord will do just that, but there are times when we don’t really believe that.  The Word of God says ““For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” He looks for an opportunity to show himself strong, and his desire is to reveal himself to us.  The word perfect means; conforming absolutely to the description or definition of an ideal type: complete; wholeness.  Our heart needs to be conformed toward the heart of Jesus.  When we desire Him, when our heart's desire His way above our own.  Then He can show himself mighty and show himself strong on our behalf.  Is there anything in your heart that is preventing Him from showing Himself Mighty and Show Himself strong?   We are ready and willing to join in prayer with you.  Beloved, in the mist of your storm He will give you a song!

The garment of LOVE

We have talked about season clothes and the correct clothes for you. Today, let’s talk about another clothing God has chosen for his beloved. The clothing He has chosen is one garment, LOVE.  I like to say that this garment has several different colors. When we are tender hearted, we can easily be moved to accomplish His will. Mercy is one of the colors of this garment, which allows us to forgive one another, kindness being genuinely concerned for others. The color of humility allows us to serve others from the heart. The vibrant color of gentleness and patience allows us to correct with a kind nature and be long temper at the same time. This garment is not just plain and simple because it requires time spent with the Holy Spirit so it will fit easily and flow correctly. I hope you can see this beautiful garment of LOVE as I do. Wear this garment well my beloved.   We welcome your comments.

The Full Armor

Yesterday we talked about recognizing your clothes for the season. Today beloved, are we putting on the correct clothes for you. Sometime as Christian we look at other and desires what they have,  but when we put someone else clothes on it doesn’t seem to fit on us. When we put on someone else's shoes it sometimes too small or too big, or it’s not a natural fit for our feet.   On the other hand, their outfit may look good on them, but with our body type, it doesn’t seem to look the same for us.

Our heavenly Father has designed an amour just for you, and if we put on that full armor, it will fit YOU!
It is designed to protect, encourage, prepare, help you walk and stand during your day, for your day.  That armor is to fit your day, my day may be different, but it fits each person.   So beloved, let’s use what is designed for us that we may be able to stand because we are clothed with correct garments. Don’t forget that these garments are for battle (more to come).   Please share, comment, or re-post for others to be blessed.

Clothes for the seasons

Beloved, what garment have you refused to take off?   Our heavenly Father has clothed us, but are we refusing to take off the clothes from the old season (old man) and put on the new clothes for this season? When we take something off it has to be replaced with something else.  So, If we take off the clothes of angry, we must replace it with the clothing of forgiveness.   If we take off the clothing of pride, we must replace with the clothing of humility.   So, I challenge you today to take off what the enemy has put on you and replace it with what God has already given you during this season.   We welcome your comments and please share.

I Know You!

We don't have to be someone famous to share God’s Word, yet He knows us.  He said, “"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5 NLT).  We are valuable to Him and He has a purpose for each of us.  He wants us to know that we are loved and special to HIM.

Oh, Father, thank you for knowing me before I was formed in my mother's womb.  I am special to you and I thank you for loving me and sending your son to die for me that I may have a life with you in eternity.  Thank you that Jesus shed blood has redeemed me, and I can walk in newness of life.  Thank you because I am a child of the most high God, in Jesus name I pray.  Amen.
